Baptisms

Baptism (also called christening) is the way of initiation into the Christian faith. It is a service that uses prayer, symbol, and scripture to remind us of Christ’s own baptism and his promise of forgiveness and cleansing us of all our sins.

Our baptisms at the Ascension are held in our main 9.15 service, and arrangements should be made with Revd Alex in the first instance.

We are committed to Safeguarding Children, Young People, Vulnerable Adults, and victims of domestic abuse. The PCC has adopted the Church of England’s policies and best practice on safeguarding which may be found on the Chelmsford Diocese's website. Our Parish Safeguarding Officer is Irene Mukwaya, who may be contacted on 07459 526779 and safeguardingcra@gmail.com.
